Tanak: The car sank really fast

M-Sport's Ott Tanak says his Fiesta RS WRC sank in “just a few seconds” after he went off the road this morning in SS3 of Rally Mexico. The dramatic incident occurred in the opening test of the day, the 9.91 km Los Mexicanos test, when the Estonian damaged the front-right suspension around 3km in and ended up in a reservoir. Tanak and co-driver Ragio Molder both escaped unharmed, but were shaken by what had happened. “It was a different experience today,” Tanak recounted. “I braked too hard into a compression which damaged the front-right suspension.
