Meeke leads, engine trouble for Ogiers

Kris Meeke held a comfortable lead at the end of the first day of the Rally Argentina on Friday with only 10 cars remaining in the event. The Briton, driving a Citroen, opened a one minute 08.4 seconds advantage over Norwegian teammate Mads Ostberg, also in a Citroen, at the end of the sixth stage. Meeke increased his gap to second placed man Jari-Matti Latvala on the Agua de Oro to Ascochinga test, after the Finn made inroads into the Northern Irishman's lead on the final stage of the morning.
