M-Sport's Elfyn Evans has retired from day two of RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada after beaching his Fiesta RS WRC in SS13. The incident happened 8.15 km into the 19.80km Capafonts 1 test, the final one of the loop, when the Welshman went off the road and was unable to re-join. Evans had been running ninth overall post-SS12, 4s behind Thierry Neuville. Team-mate Ott Tanak, who had been third overnight, also went out this morning as well, when he hit a barrier and took a wheel off in SS11.
