Meeke ends 14 year drought for Britain with home podium

Kris Meeke became the first British driver to finish on the Wales Rally GB podium since 2001 this weekend with a strong drive to second. It was Meeke's third podium of the season – following his maiden WRC victory in Argentina and his third place finish in Australia - and he felt his performance was probably one of his strongest to date, with the Ulsterman posting top-three times in every test on Friday - including winning SS4 - and posting 13 top-three times in total from a possible 19.
