New Hyundai set for launch
Dubbed the new generation i20 WRC, the successor to the existing i20 WRC car was due to be introduced in the second half of 2015, but in April the date was pushed back to 2016 because of homologation issues. Hyundai Motorsport will formally present the car at the team’s factory in Alzenau, Germany next Wednesday (9 December) ahead of its competitive debut on January's season opener Rallye Monte-Carlo. In the last ten months the car has been put through its paces on both gravel and tarmac roads in Germany, France, Finland and Spain.
