Evans set for Monte-Carlo and Sweden

He has been confirmed in M-Sport’s new evolution Ford Fiesta R5 and will be partnered by Craig Parry, who replaces Dan Barritt after three seasons alongside the Welshman. Evans was dropped from M-Sport’s 2016 WRC line-up after two seasons in favour of rookie Eric Camilli. He has been registered for WRC 2 points and it is understood a more extensive programme could be confirmed for him in the WRC’s principal support category. After more than six months’ development on the Fiesta R5’s engine, M-Sport has increased its power by more than 30bhp in an effort to rival the Skoda Fabia R5, which won four times in eight starts last season.
