Mikkelsen: I'm totally happy with my rally
Volkswagen Motorsport II driver Andreas Mikkelsen says he is “totally happy” with how he did on Rally Mexico last weekend. Mikkelsen put in a calculated drive in his Polo R WRC and in contrast to his nightmare outing on this event twelve months ago, drove consistently and error-free, taking it relatively cautiously on the first runs, before pushing on the repeats after building up his experience. His approach paid dividends and he set a number of top-three times, en-route to third place overall - matching what he did in Monte Carlo and Sweden.
