Kubica blames anti-lag for slow, rally ending crash

Robert Kubica says a problem with the anti-lag on his Ford Fiesta WRC was behind his agonisingly slow crash on stage three of the Rally Monte Carlo. The former F1 driver was running eighth when he hit a patch of ice on a tricky right-hander around the Corps – Beaumont stage, sliding slowly off the road into a ditch into a tree. Causing front-end damage to his BRC Racing-prepared Fiesta, Kubica's frustration was compounded further when Elfyn Evans glanced the stricken car with his Ford – pushing it further into the ditch – when he made his own error.
