Rally Sweden's fate to be decided in Thursday meeting

Rally Sweden's fate hangs in the balance, as Michelin called a meeting on Thursday afternoon in order to make a decision whether the event should kick off on Friday. The prospect of the rally being cancelled was brought up by the organisers earlier this week after unusually warm weather melted most of the ice from the road. However, they gave a green light to a shortened route, delaying the start from Thursday to Friday. Several drivers, most notably reigning champion Sebastien Ogier, complained after Wednesday’s recce, which was mostly run with no ice.
