Mexico WRC: Latvala goes a minute clear of Ogier

Jari-Matti Latvala locked out Rally Mexico's Saturday morning loop by topping all three stages and extending his lead over Sebastien Ogier by an additional 41.9s. The Finn's only scare came in SS11 when he touched a rock and was subsequently concerned about resulting suspension issues, but his Polo R WRC escaped the incident without damage. Despite being unable to compete with Latvala, who still had a favourable starting position, Ogier confidently maintained second. While closest challenger Dani Sordo was close to the championship leader in all three stages, the Spaniard's gap over fourth-placed Andreas Mikkelsen shrank to 14.9s as he suffered from engine problems.
