Mexico WRC: Ogier wins marathon stage, Latvala closes on victory

Sebastien Ogier ended up quickest in the penultimate Guanajuato stage of Rally Mexico, the longest test of the WRC calendar. With Sunday's starting order being determined by reversing the overall standings of the rally, Ogier was no longer first on the road. Instead, he kicked off the stage ninth, just ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala, and the Frenchman was quickest through all splits of the 80km run. Although he ended up beating Latvala by 25.3s, the Finn kept more than a minute of his overall lead with one stage to go.
