Italy WRC: Neuville leads Latvala after Friday morning loop

Hyundai's Thierry Neuville concluded Rally Italia Sardegna's first four Friday stages in the lead, closely followed by Jari-Matti Latvala. Only three tenths off Sebastien Ogier in yesterday's super special, Latvala won SS2 and took the lead as a result. Ogier, who, as the championship leader, again has to sweep the roads in this rally, fought back by topping the following run, but then lost around 20 seconds combined over SS4 and SS5. Those two stages both saw Neuville narrowly edge out Latvala, allowing the Belgian to end up in the overall lead by 1.5s.
