Rally Rewind: Poland 2015

Advertising This was the rally where Ott Tänak got off to a flier, Andreas Mikkelsen almost got the better of Sébastien Ogier and an 11th hour shunt had Jari-Matti Latvala reaching for the radiator repair putty. Friday 3 July Unexpectedly hot weather, tricky tyre choices and the dreaded road cleaning effect made for a fascinating opening leg which was dominated early on by Mikkelsen and Tänak. By the end of the day however defending champ, and 2014 Poland winner, Ogier (above) was on top by 2.1sec, heading Mikkelsen and Latvala in a Volkswagen 1-2-3. Mikkelsen set the early pace before Tänak claimed a hat-trick of stage wins, building a lead of almost 10sec by lunchtime in his Ford...
