Tanak roars into Rally Poland lead

Estonian driver Ott Tanak powered his Ford Fiesta into a narrow lead in Rally Poland on the first full day of action on Friday, ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen and Hayden Paddon. Tanak was third, six seconds off the pace, after Friday's early special stages with the Norwegian Mikkelsen, at the wheel of a VW Polo, in the lead. But Tanak roared to the front on a scintillating afternoon of action on the sandy roads to take a 4.2-second lead into Saturday.
