Finland WRC: Mikkelsen and Tanak share first place in SS1

Volkswagen's Andreas Mikkelsen and DMACK driver Ott Tanak set identical times in Rally Finland's sole Thursday stage. Tanak, who missed out on a maiden victory in the previous round with a shock Sunday puncture, set the time of 1m45.9s on the part-tarmac, part-gravel stage. The same time had been clocked in earlier by Mikkelsen, the Norwegian inheriting victory in Rally Poland after Tanak's heartbreak, with Sebastien Ogier ending up just a tenth slower. Thierry Neuville was more then a second off the pace in fourth, with Kris Meeke, who is making his first appearance since winning Rally Portugal, finishing fifth.
