Ogier leads Monte Carlo Rally

France's Sebastien Ogier finished the second leg of the Monte Carlo rally with a commanding lead on Friday after compatriot, and nine-time world champion, Sebastien Loeb crashed on the final stage of the day. Loeb had the overnight lead and the two Frenchmen were neck-and-neck throughout day two before Ogier claimed the overall lead with a strong second-placed finish on Stage 7 as Loeb struggled in the thawing conditions and spun at a hairpin. In response, Loeb pushed himself, and his Citroen World Touring car, too hard and hit a small rock during the eighth stage that caused his car too much damage to continue. Loeb's challenge for the first rally event of the year is all but finished....
