It’s all about the notes! The most wintry conditions Rally Sweden has experienced for years has forced competitors to update their pace notes to match new-look roads. Heavy snow and freezing temperatures mean the forest tracks in Sweden’s Värmland region and across the border in Norway are in an excellent state. An icy surface and big snow banks are perfect for the WRC’s only pure winter fixture. It means drivers and co-drivers worked hard during the recce, modifying their pace notes from previous years to account for tighter curves due to deep snow piled on the roadside.
