Volkswagen begins testing new Polo RX car

Volkswagen Motorsport began testing the latest evolution of its Polo GTi World Rallycross Supercar in Belgium on Saturday. Reigning World RX Champion Johan Kristoffersson and PSRX Volkswagen Sweden team owner Petter Solberg shared driving duties to complete around 25 laps in the Hanover-built car at Mettet. The Polo, a revised version of the squad’s double-title-winning 2017 Supercar, featured a new front bumper, different front wings and a more elaborate rear spoiler, similar to that seen on the final incarnation of Volkswagen’s stillborn 2017 World Rally Car. “After driving some rally cars in the winter and so on, it was a nice feeling to get back into such a car,” Kristoffersson...
