Citroën will make its own tribute at the two-day festival commemorating the 20th anniversary of McRae’s title by displaying the Xsara in the livery he carried when driving for the French squad. McRae mentored Meeke during the early days of his career when the Northern Irishman lived in the Scot’s family home near Lanark.
