Latvala to play catch up in Mexico
Jari-Matti Latvala says he has some catching up to do after failing to finish last time out in Sweden but believes he is in an excellent position to do so at Rally Mexico. The Volkswagen Motorsport driver crashed on the last stage on Friday in Sweden before eventually retiring his Polo R WRC car at the final service after he was firmly out of points-scoring contention. The Finn had made a positive start to his 2015 WRC campaign with a second place finish at the season-opener Rally Monte Carlo but after faltering in Sweden now sits fourth in the drivers' standings, behind reigning champion and current leader Sebastien Ogier, Andreas Mikkelsen and Thierry Neuville.
