Paddon leads Rally Sardinia over VW duo

Czech driver Hayden Paddon leads the way after the first full day of action. The sixth round of the FIA World Rally Championship got underway in the southern city of Cagliari last night with a super special stage which was won by Martin Prokop, the first time the Czech driver has led a World Rally Championship event. Today was a grueling day of competition spanning 15 hours and covering 133.50 competitive kilometres. Paddon stretched his lead out to 23 seconds at its highest point before the VW drivers cut it down to 8.8 by the end of the day.
