Meeke brands SS2 off a disaster

Kris Meeke has described his early exit from Rally Italia Sardegna as a “disaster” and has conceded it was his own fault as he just got “caught out”. Meeke, who won in Argentina and then finished fourth last time out in Portugal, had been keen to maintain that momentum after a difficult start to the 2015 WRC season. However, he didn't last long in Sardinia, rolling his Citroen DS 3 WRC just 8 kilometres into SS2, the 26.31 km Grighine Sud 1 test, the first 'proper' stage of the event. “I just got caught out,” Meeke told the official WRC site. “A disaster to be honest.
