Evans: The potential is there
M-Sport's Elfyn Evans says that while he cannot be satisfied with his sixth place finish on Rallye Deutschland, he is convinced the “potential is there” to challenge for top positions when “everything is right.” Evans moved up to sixth on Friday afternoon, and in the cooler morning temperatures on Saturday and Sunday posted some good times in his Fiesta RS WRC. Indeed he was second fastest in SS9 and third fastest in SS19. He was also the fastest through SS18, the opening test on the final day, making him the only man other than Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala to secure a stage win.
