Lefebvre exceeds expectations on WRC car debut
Stephane Lefebvre took an impressive tenth place finish on his WRC car debut on Rallye Deutschland last weekend, earning him the plaudits of Citroen boss Yves Matton, who described the end result as “beyond expectations”. The young Frenchman, who won the FIA Junior WRC and WRC3 titles last year, gradually upped his pace on his competitive debut with the DS 3 WRC, posting 16 top-ten stages times in total, including going second quickest in SS12 and sixth in SS5. “The aim was to finish in the top ten, and we did just that and so I scored my first point in the World Championship!” Lefebvre said. “We improved as we completed more stages and we managed to reduce the gap separating us...
