Latvala Takes Victory In Corsica

Volkswagen Motorsport‘s Jari-Matti Latvala held his nerve to take victory on the 2015 Tour de Corse, round 11 of the 2015 FIA World Rally Championship. The Polo WRC driver is the first Finnish driver to win the iconic event since Markku Alén in 1984. Latvala came into the final leg of the event with a slender two second lead over M-Sport's Elfyn Evans but managed to extend it to 43.1 seconds by the end of the event. Torrential rain and resulting flood damage forced the cancellation of two of the nine special stages.
