Delecour joins quality R5 field in Corsica

Advertising The Frenchman, a former works driver for Ford, Peugeot and Mitsubishi, will drive a Skoda Fabia R5 on the island asphalt rally, an event he won outright in 1993 at the wheel of a Ford Escort RS Cosworth.The rally's 77-strong entry list boasts 20 drivers in R5-spec cars, 11 of which are registered to score points in the WRC 2 championship, including current leader Elfyn Evans. Delecour, 54, will be one to watch in the wider RC2 class, which includes all R5 entries and fellow Corsica winners Stéphane Sarrazin (Hyundai) and Bryan Bouffier (Ford) who were victorious in 2014 and 2013 respectively when the rally was not part of the WRC.
