Gilbert to make WRC debut with Citroen in Wales

Frenchman Quentin Gilbert will spend his first rally in a WRC car in Wales as a reward from Citroen for his WRC2 campaign. Gilbert, 27, was a dominant champion of both JWRC and WRC3 last year before moving up to WRC2 with a Citroen DS3 R5. He kicked off his 2016 campaign with a podium in Monte Carlo, but he didn't stand on the podium for the next six rallies as he retired three times and couldn't do better than fifth in the rest. Gilbert, who is 11th in the standings, will take part in the main class in Rally Wales GB as the PH Sport-run Abu Dhabi Total WRT squad will enter four cars.
