Volkswagen RX Sweden won't contest World Rallycross in 2017
The Volkswagen RX Sweden team will not contest the 2017 World Rallycross season, instead focussing on developing emerging talent in the European series with its Volkswagen Polo RX Supercars. The team won the French round of the series at Loheac in 2016, and also finished second in the drivers’ championship standings with experienced circuit racer and rallycross driver, Johan Kristoffersson. “I believe that to be a front-runner in World RX now you need to have factory support," said team owner Jan Marklund in a statement.
