Paddon crashes out, SS9 cancelled

Hyundai Motorsport N driver Hayden Paddon has crashed out of Rally Argentina in Saturday afternoon's opening stage. Paddon, who re-started today under Rally 2, went off the road 600 metres from the start of SS9, the repeat-run through the 23.10km Capilla del Monte-San Marcos 2 test. Paddon and co-driver John Kennard both escaped unharmed, but the stage was stopped after the accident and then cancelled. Only Lorenzo Bertelli, Sebastien Ogier, Andreas Mikkelsen and Ott Tanak had completed it. Thierry Neuville, who would have been the sixth car in, was held at the start line.
