Six hurt as car careers into crowd in Arg

Six spectators were hurt after a car driven by New Zealand's Hayden Paddon careered off the track and ploughed into a crowd watching the Rally of Argentina on Saturday. The ninth stage of the world championship race was cancelled to allow the injured to be taken to hospital. Rally press officer Augusto Lobo told AFP that the seriousness of the injuries was not known while a spokesman for the local Capilla del Monte area said six people had been hurt. The accident took place around 1.5km into the stage in Cordoba in central Argentina. AFP
