Meeke through penultimate test, Latvala retires
Citroen's Kris Meeke has completed the penultimate test of Rally Argentina still in the lead, while Jari-Matti Latvala was sidelined by engine problems, promoting Elfyn Evans up to third. Meeke began the final day 38.6 seconds up on team-mate Mads Ostberg and the seventh best time through El Condor 1 keeps him very much on course for his maiden WRC victory. He will now go into the repeat – and final test of the event – with 27seconds in hand. The Ulsterman gave no interviews after SS11 and instead headed straight to the re-group. Behind the top-two, Latvala's misfortune has put Evans in line for his first ever WRC podium, albeit more than 2 minutes off the top two in his M-Sport...
