Matton: Meeke no longer has to prove himself
After last month’s breakthrough success in Argentina, Meeke was again in the fight for victory at Vodafone Rally de Portugal and trailed winner Jari-Matti Latvala by only six seconds midway through Saturday’s penultimate leg. “Argentina helped him a lot in the fact that he is less stressed,” Matton told wrc.com. “Knowing he has won one rally, he can step away a little and what he did in Portugal was what we expected from him.
