Paddon receives top spec Hyundai for Poland
Hayden Paddon is expected to receive an upgraded Hyundai i20 WRC machine ahead of next month's Rally Poland after his car suffered from a faulty gearbox last time out in Italy. Despite the New Zealand rally driver grabbing his maiden World Rally Championship rostrum finish at Rally d'Italia, a second place behind Volkswagen Motorsport's Sebastien Ogier, Paddon almost lost out on his best career result when his car was damaged by a heavy impact with a rock. The collision pushed his sump-guard into the transmission and broke the gearbox mounting, leaving the engine and gearbox exposed and hanging loose.
